Waiting for GE.
It's taking me longer to put up new entry and my weekly post is been reduced to fortnightly post, apologies about that. Anyway thanks to all those who remembers my birthday and your presents/SMSs. Haiz 21 liao, considered adult le. Think i won't be looking forward to future birthdays haha.
In case you're wondering, GE stands for Granado Espada, an upcoming MMORPG from Korea. Really looking forward to it cos it's different from all the MMORPGs out there in terms of gameplay and it's so much more interesting. Here's a summary about the game:
Graphics-wise, there's nothing to be picky about in GE. The world sets to look like 17th century Europe, with fancy costumes and stunning scenery. At this point, it's not known whether characters' looks can be customised but they already look fantastic without this feature.
There is MCC (multi-character control)

in this game which allows you to control up to 3 characters simultaneously. It's some sort of like those offline RPGs with party of 3 except the pace in GE will be much faster. Most of the time you'll be controlling the lead character, while the other 2 characters will act according to the actions you set for them. The lead character can also be switch as and when you like. In character building, there is this term known as stance. In other MMORPGs, character building/skill learning is pretty linear and sometimes it's quite irritating to decide the skill path for your character cos there's no turning back(unless you create another character). Stance is some sort of a mode, different stance learns different skills and requires different equipment. So depending on whether you are PVP(player vs player) or mob-clearing, you can change the stance of the character to suit different situations.

GE have 5 classes: Fighter, Musketeer, Wizard, Scout and Elementalist. You start off with these basic classes and in the later part NPCs (non-playable characters) can be recruited in your party.
Fighters are mainly the tankers and they have the most number of stances, ranging from swords to daggers to lances to even pistols. They have high HP and useful for protecting other weaker characters.
Musketeers are the gun users in GE, using rifles and pistols. Don't look down on them cos they can 1-hit kill monsters and are deadly in PVP. Probably one of my fave class. ^_^
Wizards can use both offensive magic and defensive magic. They can power-up the party or cause status change in monsters. Handy for tougher battles where power is not enough.
Scouts act like priest so they can heal and also are battle assistants. Think most people will have a scout in the party unless they're filthy rich that they can afford to use potions to survive.
Elementalists use purely offensive magic and they have 3 elements: fire, ice and lightning. At higher levels, you'll be able to combine the 3 elements together. Great for leveling and mob-clearing.
Currently the Singapore version is gonna start closed beta so it

would probably be a month later when open beta starts. Didn't sign up for closed beta cos my PC don't meet minimum requirement. ORZ Think i'll probably be basking at LAN shops when GE starts lol. Still no news whether it's gonna to be free-to-play but since both Korean and Japanese servers are free-to-play, so there's a chance. But i don't mind paying as long as it's good haha. They are gonna launch it in US and Europe too but there'll be changes to game and they gonna named it Sword of the New World. Honestly, Granado Espada sounds so much better.
