Starting work.
Work for 3 days already at pfizer at sgh. First day not very exciting cos mainly i'm reading protocol, watching and doing simple stuff. The people there are ok, my supervisor remind me a bit of my secondary teacher. There's even a place call nuclear medicine, first thought in mind is atomic bomb haha. Have to get familiar with the procedures and the studies number. Feels like i'm back at pharmacology class. Brain a bit rusty so a bit slow when learning about the procedures. Saw that there's a shift from 6pm to 6am, hope i won't be doing that soon. Eek half a day on working, really no life. Still didn't get to see one of my other colleagues who is working night shift. Bought the first volume of Saiunkoku Monogatari novel on sun and managed to finished reading on the same day. If it wasn't for the navigator, i won't have found it placed away from the shelf. Ryuuki is so funny, really love the interaction between Shuurei and him. ^_^ Got the second volume yesterday but still haven't finish. Starhub is gonna show Bleach on channel 56 soon. Darn i don't have 56! T_T Wonder will they cut some parts due to violence?

Click! Rewind fireworks!.
Met up wif Kah Lin, Hui Min and Cindy at orchard to watch Click yesterday. We went to eat lunch first at Sushi Tei at paragon while waiting for cindy. After that bought tickets for the 3.10 show at cine. The show turn out to be much better than i expected, it wasn't as lame and brainless as i thought haha. Ya it got the usual humour but the story gets more meaningful and touching in the later part. Overall a nice show to watch. Window-shopped at taka and wisma, been a while since i bought any clothes, suddenly feel the urge to shop haha. Think i better get a job first before think about shopping. Later met up with Malvina and her friend Kit Mun at city hall to watch fireworks. The mrt was damn crowded which kind of spoilt my mood a little to watch fireworks. Have yoshinoya takeaway at marina square and we went over to sit at the stairs outside macdonalds. Felt like one of the homeless while eating my dinner at the stairs. Didn't expect that Hui Xin and her classmates were sitting right next to us. Chat a bit with her, realised we didn't really keep in touch much with sec 1 classmates. As the time gets closer to 9pm, the stairs were flooded with people. In the end, the view wasn't the best cos got some trees and didn't get to see those low fireworks. But still it's an improvement from last year. Some of the fireworks very beautiful, some look like golden waterfall and some are like a shooting star which burst into many stars. Watching fireworks can really lift your mood ^_^. After that, we walked around till 10pm then i went to take bus 36. Big jam at suntec area and the bus was packed like a can of sardines. I end up standing at the entrance stairs. Had to fear for my life if the bus uncle suddenly brakes and i will certainly fly through the glass window. The bus crawls its way to ECP which took over 20 minutes. Haiz seems like half the population went to watch fireworks? Guess singaporeans don't have much life haha.

Saiunkoku Monogatari! Nice!.
You never know when you will pick up a good book. Went to marine parade library some days ago to borrow some books to kill boredom. Got interested in a book, Cai Yun Guo Wu Yu, written by Sai Yukino. The japanese name of the title is Saiunkoku Monogatari. Hard to resist not getting interested cos the guy on the cover is damn shuai haha. Tried to find other volumes but they only have volume 3. After reading it, couldn't help loving this story. It's something like Twelve Kingdoms but with more humour, romance and not as serious. Manage to find out there's an anime version on youtube. Here's a brief summary of the story at the beginning: Kou Shuurei, 16, is the eldest daughter in the direct line of descent in the Kou family, one of the top families in Saiunkoku. Despite her background, the household, which consist of her father Kou Shouka and her servant Shi Seiran, is very poor. So when Shou Taishi, one of the chief advisors, offers her a job for 500 gold pieces, she quickly accepts it. Later she finds out that her task is to enter the palace and become the emperor's consort as well as getting him to take on his responsibilities. The emperor, Shi Ryuuki, who ascended the throne 6 months ago, has no interest in ruling and leaves it to his officials. It is also rumoured that Ryuuki is more interested in men than women. After reading the book and watching the 1st episode, i can say that i'm hooked. It has a great plot, interesting characters and a beautiful setting that's similar to China. The anime can be classified as shojo but it's not all about romance. It also shows relationships between families and friends etc. It gradually shows how Shuurei strives to become the first female court official in Saiunkoku despite many obstacles in the later part of the story. Some of the characters have weird quirks that adds humour to the story, like Shouka is hopeless at household chores and attempts to serve tea to guest with a bucket of well water. The anime is said to have 39 episodes. If you like Fushigi Yuugi and Twelve Kingdoms, Saiunkoku Monogatari will appeal to you. ^_^
