Adding new flavours in my life.
Lessons start at 9am today so slept slightly longer than usual. Shouldn't haf brought the med micro textbook, it's so heavy n we didn't use it 4 lesson. Had block nose during immuno. Probably due to the air-con being much colder. Lucky it only lasts 4 a while. After tat had lunch at foodcourt 2, ate chicken rice as the queue was shorter than the cooked food. Ya Ching n Malvina had laksa. Seems like a 'new' version of laksa cos there r extra ingredients in it. Both their bowls haf french fry in the soup. I really wonder if the cook noes wat he/she is doin.
Haf pract after lunch. Discuss wif vanessa's grp abt csw(communication skills for work), who is gonna to haf wat role. We're supposed to act out how a meeting is carried out. It's pretty stupid. Went to clear to the agar tat we left behind after finishing the pract 4 FYP. Didn't expect to c the agar become like keropok. The agar shrinks a very thin layer n there's like no moisture left, so it curls up at the side. The bacteria must be damn hungry to reduce the agar to tat.
The pract starts n it's a lot like wat we done 4 the DNA extraction 4 our FYP. During the 1 hour incubation, Mr Yeo wanted to teach cell culture to only 2 grps. So he said to the rest of us tat we can go n haf our cigarette break. Wat kind of lecturer would say tat? Probably only him. After tat we jus slack ard n the guys grew bored of waiting. Ming De came up wif the idea of taking photos but no1 had any interest. Then Jun Yi came up wif an idea to take a photo wif the model tat is used to teach abt human body. I wouldn't elaborate more but he must be bored out of his mind to tink of tis. Pract end later than 3pm but gd news is tml pract cancel so i can sleep late again. ^_^
Went to katong after sch to buy some muffins as i was hungry. Surprised to c the changes there. Feel kind of guilty cos i lived so near yet it's been years since i went there. Too used to walking the same path to sch n back home tat i didn't realise there r other paths ard, different things to c. Saw a couple of internet cafes but it's not as cosy as in shopping malls as there's no air-con n the place looks like a kopitham. But there r quite a number of ppl there so i guess the rate is pretty cheap. A speciality of katong is of course their laksa. But i haf no idea which is the best though, there r so many shops selling it. Made my way to the bakery n bought 3 muffins 4 $3, blueberry, cheese n chocolate chip. The blueberry muffin is quite gd, it doesn't haf the flour-like taste so it kind of melts in ur mouth. Plus it does not use preservatives. Disappointed abt the cheese muffin cos i only tasted the cheese when i'm gonna finish the muffin.Yet to eat the chocolate muffin but shld be better than cheese muffin. Tink will try other flavours the next time n probably their cakes.
Has the standard of drivers in Singapore drop? Cos i saw 2 accidents, 1 yesterday at paya lebar n 1 today at tanjong katong. Yesterday it was a lorry tat hit a bus n today a van hit a car. Both r quite minor, no1 injure or anything. But i dun usually encounter tis so i'm wondering abt tis. Maybe tat's y Hui Min can get her license....haha kidding.
